SurfEars has just released the latest edition of their already groundbreaking water sports ear plug design. Keeping water out but allowing sound in, the plugs prevent common problems like surfer’s ear and frequent infections, while still allowing you to fully appreciate the environment (and people) around you.

SurfEars 4.0 also utilise recycled ocean plastic and repurposed silicone during construction for improved sustainability, plus expand wearing options for greater comfort in a wider range of situations.

“As dedicated water enthusiasts, combating ocean plastic pollution is a cause close to our hearts,” says SurfEars founder Christian Dittrich. “By choosing better materials, making things more durable and more versatile, we’re proud to help water athletes everywhere stay healthier while keeping our seas a little bit cleaner.”

The core of SurfEars 4.0 is now made with 91% post-consumer recycled plastic including material taken up from the ocean. The new Fused Core & Mesh has also been completely re-engineered to upgrade durability, ensuring a product that will last for a very long time. To improve comfort, SurfEars 4.0 now has more fit options as part of their modular design too.

A ‘wingless’ addition means those wanting to wear the plugs under winter hoods or swimming caps can do so more easily. Various wing and tip sizes also mean those with smaller ears or larger can also comfortably use SurfEars 4.0. There are even new colour options for those wanting something more discreet. The improvements expand usability for surfers, free divers, swimmers, kayakers and more.
