COOLANGATTA/QLD (November 25th,2016): Staying hydrated is critical, whether it before or after a surf or in the gym training. This won’t be a problem for athletes at the Hurley Surfing Australia High Performance Centre (HPC) after Hydralyte Sports and Surfing Australia signed a one year partnership.

HPC participants will be able to take advantage of the Hydralyte Sports range of products when training at the centre whilst the Hydralyte Sports logo will be proudly displayed on the HPC building, vehicles and website.

Jonathan Biddle, General Manager at Care Pharmaceuticals said: “We are excited to enter into a partnership with Surfing Australia, and we see that there is a natural fit between the two brands. The next year will be full of many great activities, and we look forward to working with the team at Surfing Australia to bring them to life.”

Hydralyte Sports is a scientifically formulated oral rehydration solution for the effective treatment of dehydration, which is a common problem in many sports, surfing included.

Up and coming Australian surf stars Isabella Nichols and Reef Heazlewood are on board as brand ambassadors and will play a role in driving the message on rehydration out to the surfing public.

“I’m really excited to get the opportunity to work with Hydralyte Sports and Surfing Australia on this project,” said Nichols. I feel a strong connection with the brand as I already use Hydralyte Sports on a regular basis and love taking it to rehydrate myself.”

As part of the partnership, Hydralyte Sports becomes a support sponsor of Hurley Surfing Australia Performance Centre (HPC), Team Australia and Surfing Australia’s National Titles including the Toyota Australian SUP Titles, Australian Surf Festival and the Surf Dive ‘n Ski Australian Junior Surfing Titles.

The partnership will also activate across Surfing Australia’s digital and broadcast platforms including a digital series involving Nichols and Heazlewood, and content across all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and the mysurf.tv platform.
